Southern Lakes

The southern part of the Lake District is a great introduction to riding Lakes as it contains many of the lower fells, so you can experience the rocky trails without having to push and carry or be exposed on high ridges.

Eastern Lakes

This is big riding country! It contains many of the classics including Helvellyn, the Garburn Pass, High Street and the Nan Bield Pass. You'll have to be happy with a bit of hike'a'biking but then will be rewarded with some fantastic rocky descents.

Northern Lakes

An area I have to explore more, as it is meant to contain some wonderful riding. If it is of the same quality as my Skiddaw route then I will be visiting again soon!
